We are asking you to please forward these flyers to your football programs, baseball programs, cheer, band, other organizations, clubs, colleagues, friends and family, etc., as soon as possible. If you have received this email, it means you have either offered in the past to forward information or we were hoping you wouldn’t mind helping us spread the word.
This Friday night we have the unique opportunity to come together as a community and help not only CJ Barron, but also another student in need, Kody Peraita. Kody is a 16-year-old Ayala student who suffered a spinal cord injury Memorial Weekend while at the beach. This injury has left him paralyzed from the neck down. He is being treated at Project Walk, a non-profit organization internationally recognized in the treatment for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Unfortunately, it is not covered by health insurance, so Kody’s friends have banded together to raise funds to help keep him at Project Walk and also to help in the expenses of making his house wheelchair accessible.
Below is a list of the fundraising events being held on the boys’ behalf. Information tables for both CJ & Kody will be set up on both sides of the field at Friday’s Battle of the Bone at Ayala High School.
CJ BarronThe Talent Factory will be holding a benefit concert on Saturday, October 22, at 11:00 am at Chino Hills High School, $10. We will be selling tickets for the concert at the game on Friday. We have attached the sponsor form for any businesses interested in sponsoring the event. Also, we will be having vendors outside the event such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef and, of course, bling!! Kody PeraitaAt Friday night’s game, Ayala Football boosters will be donating all 50/50 proceeds to help raise money for Kody to stay at Project Walk. Ayala Boosters previously donated their first home game 50/50 proceeds to CJ Barron, so this will be their second donation this year. Please help support them in this great cause on Friday night! Also, Team Kody (as Kody’s friends have named themselves!) has put together a golf tournament with all proceeds going to help Kody. The Team Kody Golf Tournament is Friday, October 28th at El Prado Golf Course. Spots are filling up quick, so please register ASAP!
